THE DRAWING OF MARY

The drawing of Mary came to me

Early in my healing

She spoke to me and I spoke back:

“Help me draw your nose,” I said,

“I’m having a problem with this feature;”

And she did complete her picture

I was moved to tears by Mary’s image

A smile so sweet and face angelic

She looked at me with so much compassion

Gave me hope and protection

Told me I had been given a gift

To create and to inspire

I would be alright
